During the Italian Restaurant Festival 2027, from the 1st to the 30th of April 2027, guests can taste high-quality traditional Italian dishes and wine at the most authentic Italian restaurants in the British capital.
The festival takes place inside the restaurants involved in the project. This allows people to get closer to Italian cuisine, philosophy and tradition, and to experience the way Italians consider food: a slow, pleasant pleasure to share with people you love.

What exactly is the Italian Restaurant Festival?
A month-long, city-wide event — not a single venue or stage — where each participating restaurant hosts the festival on its own premises, serving guests high-quality traditional Italian dishes and wine from a specific region of Italy.
When and where does it take place?
From the 1st to the 30th of April 2027, inside the restaurants taking part across London. We are also evaluating an expansion to other UK cities in future editions.
Which restaurants can apply?
Independent, authentic Italian restaurants only — no chains. We're looking for venues that genuinely represent the cuisine, philosophy and tradition of a specific Italian region.
How many restaurants are selected, and how?
Just 50 restaurants across the festival, curated for authenticity and for a genuine spread of Italy's regional cuisines rather than on a first-come, first-served basis.
What does taking part actually involve?
Offering a traditional regional menu, or a set of signature dishes, throughout April 2027. Restaurants are also welcome to host a chef's masterclass or a wine-tasting evening as part of the programme.
What do participating restaurants get in return?
Recognition as a founding member of the UK's first official Italian Restaurant Festival, exposure through a dedicated marketing campaign, new patrons, and a listing among our partners — including booknbook's own restaurant guides and directory.
